The Mulsanne W.O. Edition by Mulliner
With Bentley's 100th anniversary coming up next year and the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition Mulsanne. It pays homage to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley is a relic from one of his cars.
The special model available on a long-wheelbase or a regular-wheelbase Mulsanne or Mulsanne Speed, was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. was using as his personal vehicle. The influence of the car can be seen in the interior. For example the Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet features an exhibit with a portion of the 8 Litre crankshaft on display inside.
Other highlights include a chrome application running across the back of the car with an air vent that is photoetched that incorporates W.O. the car's signature front grille that's modeled on the 1930s-appropriate Onyx color of the limited edition, and an optional chrome application that runs around the lower spoilers left and right. The front grille is also unique, featuring a chrome shell instead of the usual body-color mesh that is found on the standard Mulsanne and incorporating the Flying B logo as well.
The key box is embossed with Bentley wings and is fitted with the lining of black flock. Individual key pouches can be purchased to complement or enhance the key box. The commemorative set includes a 1:18 scale model and an air-borne "B" paperweight. The set also comes with an illustrated booklet that features never-before seen images of the original 1930s Bentley 8 Litre.
The Bentley Wing Key Box
This accessory is ideal for Bentley owners and enthusiasts. It comes with a unique key box that is embossed in Bentley wings. It is carefully wrapped in tissue paper within a gift box, it's the perfect present for birthdays, Christmas and other special occasions.
The metal-to-metal knurling on this key fob mimics the textures in the interior of the car, such as the seat temperature controls and the shift knob. Van Braekel says, "We wanted the knurling to be as consistent and beautiful" as possible. It was important to keep the size and shape of the fob in line with the same shape and size.
Bentley Mulliner customers are able to choose any color from the Bentley portfolio, in addition to any combination of veneers or hides, and custom embroidery. Bentley's signature diamond diamond quilting is applied to the entire cabin with nearly 400000 stitches. The lighting of the mood can be adjusted to accommodate different moods.
Standard exteriors include illuminated treadplates, brushed silver clocks, and the new 22in wheels that feature self-leveling Bentley logos.
